In the event of inclement weather, groups may meet at their own discretion for day and evening activities unless otherwise notified by FUMC that the building is closed. The church will be open if feasible but safety will be a priority. Each group will be responsible for its own communications.
The church offices may be closed during weekdays at discretion of the pastor in cases of hazardous driving.This will be announced by 7:30 a.m. through Facebook, Twitter, and general email.
When Tipton County schools are closed due to inclement weather on Wednesdays, any planned Wednesday night program for children, youth and adults will be cancelled. Any other programming such as Choir practices will be decided at the discretion of the person in charge and will be announced through Facebook, Twitter, website, and general email by noon.
Sunday school and worship services will occur regardless of most inclement weather–barring extreme and publicly unsafe conditions.Any such decision to cancel Sunday worship would be announced through Facebook, Twitter, and general email only after consultation of pastor with church leadership. The hope is to have at least the 11:00 a.m. worship service.
